名画『大脱走』でスティーブ・マックイーンが着用していたスウェット・シャツ。肘下あたりでカットオフされた袖が軽快で、草原を疾走するバイクのシーン演出にすごくはまっていました。
クルマやバイクを運転する際に手をまくる手間と戻りシワを無くすために、そして見た目の軽快さを求めて七部袖のスウェット・シャツを制作いたしました。
ラグラン・スリーブはやめて、キチッとした印象にするためにセットイン・スリーブを採用。その分、肩から脇に少し余裕を持たせて腕の上げ下げも楽にできるようにしました。旧式の吊り編み機で良質なコットンを用いて丁寧に一つずつ仕上げましたので10年20年着用してもよれません。初回ロットはマックイーンをオマージュしたビアリッツ・ブルーです。
This sweatshirt was worn by Steve McQueen in the famous movie "The Great Escape". The cut-off sleeves below the elbows look light. The scene of him racing on a motorcycle in the grassland was one of my favorites.
To eliminate the trouble of rolling up the sleeves and getting wrinkles when driving a car or motorcycle, we created a sweatshirt with three-quarters sleeves that look light.
They are made with an old-style knitting machine using high-quality cotton, and they are finished one by one with care, so it will not become worn even after 10 or 20 years.
The first lot is in a Biarritz Blue color.
